Day 8 - Luzern Tourist Day

So today we rested (so to speak) in Lucerne. We played tourist and saw the sights. Started by crossing the river Reuss on the Speurerbrückr, a covered wooden bridge dating back to 1408. We climbed the Musegg Wall part of Lucerne's historic fortification. We made our way to the Löwedenkmal, the Lion Monument. Visited various churches and ambled through the old town. Found a really great lunch spot and enjoyed a restful meal. Window shopped a bit in the afternoon. Finally sampled some chocolates from a couple of places, one that was recommended to us and it was so delicious. We spent a little time back at our hotel resting and researching the road ahead. Didn't want to eat out another big meal so struggled a bit to find some "take away" food as many places were closed.
